Stamp - Art Trades are NOT Requests

Here is a stamp I made that reveals the truth about art trades and requests. I haven't found a stamp with words like this, so I decided to make it myself. Some part of it may look hard to read because of the small lettering, but I don't have a program where I can make animated GIFs, and the computer I use runs Mac OS X Tiger.

As you can see in this stamp, between the words "ART TRADES" and "REQUESTS", it looks like an equal sign, but there is a slash through the symbol that makes it the opposite: it's an unequal sign. If you read it correctly, it reads "ART TRADES DO NOT EQUAL REQUESTS".

For those who don't know the difference between an art trade and a request, an art trade is when someone draws something for you and then you draw something for him or her in return like both artists are doing each other favors, but requests are just when you ask some artist to draw something just for you. Art trades and requests are both completely different terms. The only thing that art trades and requests both share in common is when the drawing is being done and given to that specific artist. Requests don't really fall under the category as gifts as much as art trades do, because if you ask someone to draw something for you, you are sure they'll get it done for you. Art trades do not require asking someone to do it for you, it's that artists's choice to whether or not they want to draw it for you, and art trades are usually done as a surprise. If someone draws something for you, you should return the favor by drawing something for them. The more you return the favor, they more they can do things for you as much as you do for them.

Anyway, feel free to use this stamp on your userpage and/or in your journal entries so that other artists will learn the difference, but this stamp primarily will apply to artists who will only accept art trades but not requests.
